Who We Are 2017-01-25T12:08:49+00:00

Our Mission

We want to help you find and follow Jesus. We see this happening by LOVING, MENDING, EQUIPPING and SENDING.

Love God and love people. We desire to grow in our love for God by worshiping him, by serving his agenda instead of our own, and by loving people. We love people by sharing who Jesus is with them, by helping them in their needs, and by welcoming them into our lives and the life of the church.

We live in a broken creation, as broken people. Not only do we suffer the consequences of our own wrongdoing, but we suffer at the expense of others’ actions too. But as Christians, we believe that we can have true life today. The mending done by God is vertical (between God and man), horizontal (between people) and personal (in the individual person).

We all need equipping. We believe Jesus has promised to equip us for the ministry work we are each given. At Cornerstone we equip people to do the work that we are meant to be doing.

We are sent ones, in many ways like a letter to the city, to our neighbors, to our families, to the people we work and live with and among every day. Our letter tells a story of rescue, transformation and commission – we are loved, mended and equipped in order to be sent to the world to share the person and work of Jesus Christ with others.
