Home Church

A Church  With Two Wings

The New Testament church could be compared to a bird with two wings:

1) They met in larger worship gatherings, and

2) They gathered in homes for “face-to-face” relationships.

New Testament Pattern at CWC

1) Believers at Cornerstone Worship Center come together for heartfelt “public” worship, to bring their tithes and offerings to the Lord, to receive apostolic teaching and to pray. The unity of the body of Christ is expressed, corporate vision is renewed and children receive special ministry.

2) Cornerstone commissions and oversees leaders to begin home churches. By means of these smaller gatherings, pastoral care is extended, the fellowship of the Holy Spirit is experienced, and believers live out their faith-walks in partnership with others. Gifts and ministries are discovered, developed and deployed. Members pray for and reach out to their friends and neighbors – together.

What We Do At Home Church Meetings

In Cornerstone Home Churches, authentic New Testament Christianity is discovered as:

• We experience genuine Christian community (the fellowship of the Holy Spirit).

• We learn to love, encourage and mentor one another as we grow in our walk with Jesus.

• We share in simple, “home-style” praise and worship.

• We take communion together and baptize new believers.

• We support each other in applying God’s Word to our daily lives.

• We serve each other through prayer, practical help, and spiritual gifts.

• We seek to build bridges of relationship to those who do not yet know Jesus. We share His love and His truth with our families, friends and neighbors.
